With reference to the image below and answer the following questions:

Digital Media
1.) Define the term ‘digital media’.

Digital media is a term that refers to the many types of electronic items that are used to produce/show data that is needed as news and information, it can also be used for recreational uses. There are numerous electronic devices that are used to present digital media and used for recreational uses, these include cameras, camera phones, recorders, computers, TV, Blogs, You tube, email etc.

2.) How has digital media evolved over the last 5-10 years?

Digital media has evolved over the past 5-10 years in the sense that people are using digital media imensely. What this basically means is that the public is using the more and more frequently, this also means inappropriate use of it. The use of digital media has revolved because of the low and affordable prices they are placed on. Digital media was once only used for commercial use but nowadays you will find a source of digital media in every nuclear family home.

3.) Discuss the reasons why digital newspapers are extremely popular?

Digital newspapers are becoming more and more popular because they are a more easier source of breaching the latest news. They are thought to be more cheaper, but actually you are using up your download usage. This means it’s still the same price of $1.50. These Digital newspapers are becoming more and more popular because they are easily accessible. Digital newspapers have electronic information, this means that they are easy to extract information which means the good old copy-past, while on the other hand (hard copy) you have to eventually read through it and summarize the information. Digital newspapers can be access/breached from the websites of the newspaper company. For example:

1.) Watch the following clip:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aiyXP-xh_ew
Scenario 1: You are on a train coming home from a day at the beach. The train stops at a station and a group a youths get on the train and start bashing an elderly ethnic man. You notice people getting off the train.

Discuss what you would do in this situation.

In this situation I would scream for people to help me stop the group from bashing the man but before I do this i would run to the guards Compartment then bang the door really really hard till he comes out, when he comes out i will describe what is going on, then he will call the local police at the next station. If the gang didn’t stop or if the other passengers didn’t help I would have to do it my self and just put myself over the man to protect him.

Scenario 2: You get a message from a girl that you are interested asking you to come over her house. When you get there a number of her friends are present and they say they are bored. One of them promotes the idea of going for a walk and causing a riot. At first you tell them “No way”. However, the girl you like states that “she will like you more if you go”.

Discuss what you would do in this situation.

In this situation I would tell her no and i don’t care if you like me but it’s the wrong thing to do. If they still went and did it i would dump that girl and would go tell their parents or police what they have just done and leave and not talk to them again.

YOU HAVE TO DECIDE BETWEEN:

DEVIL              &              ANGEL

1.) Watch the following clip:

Describe what is a person’s ‘conscience’.

Conscience is a described as the ability or sense that distinguishes whether our actions are right or wrong. It leads to feelings of regret when we do things that go against our moral values, and to feelings of goodness or honesty when our actions obey the rules to our moral values. It is also the attitude which informs our moral judgment before performing any action.

2.) Watch the following clip:

Describe how a persons conscience works in making moral decisions. Explain the relationship between religion and conscience.

There are two parts of the conscience, a lower and higher conscience. The lower conscience contains an innate sense of right and wrong, which all humanity shares. The higher conscience is subject to training and receives the specific standards of right and wrong formed by beliefs and values. The relationship between religion and conscience is that with the conscience i helps you make right or wrong choices which will also be made as a sin or good deed which is the part of religion and the laws of God.

1.) Define the term “Moral Maturity”

Moral Maturity is marked by depth and consistency of moral judgment (distinguish psychologically the rights and wrongs); by recognition that any moral judgement may be bad or good. Moral maturity is a requirement in the person who is to apply a body of knowledge or a skill to the solution of a problem. Moral maturity development is a step by step process that takes a lot of time.

2.) Read the following article:
http://www.smh.com.au/news/national/knife-arrest-cop-pelted/2008/03/24/1206206967590.html
Discuss the reasons why the 25 year old man mentioned in the article would be regarded as having a lack of ‘moral maturity’.

This 25 year old man has committed a sin and has been charged for around 11 offenses. The man’s most serious mistake take was that he couldn’t decide around his conscience. The man can be regarded as having a lack of moral maturity because he didn’t recognize what the right thing was to do in the situation of damaging some one else’s property adn dropping a knife when the police were on pursuit after the 25 year-old man.

3.) Identify the differences between ‘morality’ and ‘immorality’.

Morality refers to the concept of human ethics which pertains to matters of right and wrong — also referred to as “good and evil” — used within three contexts: individual conscience; systems of principles and judgments — sometimes called moral values –shared within a cultural, religious, where as immorality is the quality of not being in accord with standards of right or good conduct.

4.) Watch the following clip and describe the reasons why Governor Spitzer’s actions would be regarded as ‘immoral’.

Governor Spritzer’s actions would be regarded as immoral because many people in America looked up to him and he was also a family man of 3 daughters but he went behind everyones back and did the wrong thing and set a bad example to his daughters and all the women in America.

1. How is the research going?

At teh moment my group’s research is not getting carried out as expected due to the simple fact that everyone is not pulling their weight. This means that everyone in my group arewasting valuable time playing games, arguing, watching you tube videos, and also chatting/discussing irrelevant topics. Unlike the project that was prior to the current one i do not wan’t to leave the workload till the last week.

2. What do you know about imovie? What other multimedia possibilities have you considered for your presentation?

I seriously do not know mush about imovie but i can learn it in a lesson. I have basic knowledge on what I have to do on i movie but i require some assistance. 1.) Which countries have banned the Internet?

The internet is a very useful source of information for some but for others it is a very harmful and a posinous kind of networking system. It is great for your young ones but when they start going to the bad websites, the internet starts to get vigorous. So some countries have gone to extents that the internet has been banned. These countries include

Burma,

China,

Cuba,

Egypt,

Eritrea,

North Korea,

Tunisia,

Turkmenistan,

Vietnam,

Belarus,

Zimbabwe

Ethiopia.

These countries are known as internet enemies. The information can be extracted from http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/in_depth/7292130.stm

2.) Describe what the following image is about? (Provide TWO websites to support your findings)

china

This image is about how the internet especially You Tube was banned in China. The internet was banned because on Sunday March 16th dozens of videos about protests in Tibet were posted on You Tube.

Information from:

 http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080316/ap_on_hi_te/china_youtube_blocked

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/in_depth/7292130.stm

3.) Provide evidence of at least FIVE sources (Websites, newspapers, blogs, videos ect) that discuss the reasons why these countries have taken such a drastic approach.

The websites and videos below show why these countries have taken such a drastic approach.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q584XdFwiLs

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G4VdYjfFjeY

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/in_depth/7292130.stm

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Internet_censorship

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080316/ap_on_hi_te/china_youtube_blocked
4.) Discuss how you would feel if the Australian government banned the Internet. What privileges would you lose? (2 Paragraphs)

The privileges I would lose if the Australian government banned the internet would being not able to chat with relatives overseas and in Australia, not being able to chat with friends, not being able to use the internet for work purposes, not being able to get the latest news without waiting for the evening news, not being able to see the newest concept cars at auto shows and many other good things you can do on the internet.

I wouldn’t feel that good if they did ban the internet. I would be bored and not have anything to do, except for go outside and be active which is one of the positive things if this happens to me.

I will be a living presence of God by doing random acts of kindness.

I will be a living presence of God by helping the unpriveleged I will do this by helping out someone who is being picked on and also offering my friendship to someone who needs it. I can also donate to the caritas or buy the bandaged bear , I donate money but i come to realize that once or twice a week is not enough. As i grow older i will tend to donate blood regularly as this will help the lives of others. I will also join the young christians group as i will gain experience and knowledge from that.

How can I become Sacramental.

I can become a living image of God by contributing to charity works. By doing this I can become a big help in the community and give the people that are being helped by the charity a chance to live their lives properly and get them back on their feet. I can also donate money to project compassion and project charitas, by doing this i can help save the ill, disadvantaged, war torn, and homeless people from their death beds. By doing that I am following the foot steps of Jesus and I am becoming more like him.
