Upload the answers to the following questions in your blog.1.) Define the term ‘moral integrity’

Moral integraty refers to a moral value and an ethical notion which is complex by nature. It is a virtue that lays the foundation for all other virtues and is therefore fundamental to all others. It also refers to a person who can stick by bad times even during adversity and misfortune.

2.) Describe why Maximillian Kolbe is regarded as a Christian of exemplary moral integrity.
Maximillian Kolbe is regarded as a Christian of exemplerary moral integrity because the act of him giving up his own life for someone else shows that his morals are extremely honest which therefore means that he has a high level of moral integrity which would make him a Christian of exmplerary moral integrity.

3.) Outline Maximillians ethical actions/principles that he demonstrated in Auschwitz.

He died for someone he didn’t know, now think to yourself – would you sacrifice your own life that God gifted us? Would you actually be the good samartian? but in this case not put the man in refuge but give the ultimite bestowal of life its self? Those were the principles that Father Kolbe followed till his walk to the gallows in 1941… All one can say for the phenonomen of this human being is that he did something that was insurmountable t0 fathom by any in the entire camp.

4.) Evaluate whether you think he made the right decision and provide research to support your answer. i.e. Catholic teachings.

Father Maximillian Kolbe gave his life up, some people might think that was the utimate sacrifice – enducing an emotional/touching effect that one might ponder on being too extreme and must be condemed in the highest terms possible (they don’t agree with his decisions).

1. Watch the following video:

1.) Describe the term 'interactive TV'.

We define interactive TV (ITV) as a user experience that involves at least one user and one, or more audiovisual and networked devices. Previous definitions were focused on the technological aspects and ignored the fact that even traditional TV is potentially interactive. For example, viewers compete mentally with quiz show participants, or co-operate between collocated groups. Moreover, viewers react emotionally to TV content, they record, edit and share TV content with friends and discuss about shows either in real-time, or afterwards. Source - uitv.info/topics/what-is-interactive-tv

2.) Explain the reasons why interactive TV is now called TV 2.0. Interactive T.V is called 2.0 because it interacts with using the internet. It is also called TV 2.0 because it is more to the 21st century, something very new to the world. because the television is much more advanced then what it used to be before.

3.) Outline the positives and negatives of implementing interactive TV.

positives:

  • you are able to watch what you want, when you want.
  • a better way of watching T.V
  • What you download can be viewed from your phone, or computer.
  • you can sort of make your own ‘channel’

negatives:

  • you can get addicted to it
  • you can over download and waste lots of money
  • Instead of just turning on the T.V and watching a show that you want, you have to download the show, and this will take up more time.

4.) Apple released recently Apple TV - Take 2. Describe the reasons why it needed to be changed.

The update deleted the need for another computer running the iTunes software client to stream or load content to the device. The update adds the ability to rent and purchase movies and music from the iTunes Store directly from the device, as well as download podcasts and stream photos.

1. Watch the following video:

1.) Explain the purpose of using 'youtube' as a source of digital media advertising?
The purpose of using ‘youtube’ as a source of digital media advertisement lies in the depth of psychology and the way people think outside the box. It isn’t easy to understand but it really means that youtubers can work their way from one video to another by clicking on the option bar on the side. The advertisers are thinking that people can actually see that link which will make a person watch that video.

2.) Discuss how collaborative media sites such as youtube, myspace and bebo have changed the current boundaries of media such as news, advertising etc.
Collaborative media sites such as youtube, myspace and bebo have changed the boundaries of media such as news and advertisement by allowing extravagant information to be posted on the websites. Websites such as ‘Yahoo 7’ and ‘Nine MSN’ are the locations where you can login to your email account but these sites have combined with news sites so that while signing in you can skim through the latest headlines. As these sites are on the internet they can be accessed anytime anywhere.

3.) Provide a link to an advertising commercial on youtube.
